Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Toronto to Madawaska
Enjoy a scenic drive through Haliburton and Muskoka regions to Madawaska. Once go get into Madawaska have a wicked Canadian BBQ, sit around a campfire, gaze at the stars, breathe in that fresh northern air and roast some marshmallows on a stick. Relax - you're a stones throw away from the great Canadian outdoors.
Day 2- Algonquin Park
Spend a day of hiking and incredible scenery. Also, learn about the geography, history, flora, fauna and wildlife of the region at the Visitor's Centre. Take the canoes out to go tubing down at Waterfall at Moores Falls. Head on over to the beach, yep, you read it right, an awesome lake beach to play some frisbee and chill out.
For those wishing to spend a few extra days and do a "once in a lifetime" camping trip into Algonquin Park, Madawaska Basecamp can fully outfit anyone to ensure a great trip. Get canoes, paddles, tents, sleeping bags, food barrels etc. and receive training on how to survive in the Canadian Wilderness. Remember, listen to your trainer well because Algonquin Park is home to over 10,000 moose, 2,000 Black bears and wolves just to name a few.
Day 3- Madawaska to Toronto
Ragged Falls-Check out a quirky set of falls (good for a shower on a hot day) as you exit the West gate of Algonquin Park.
Dorset- Climb the Dorset fire lookout tower for the best view of Haliburton and Muskoka.
